Performance Class. The next performance class will be Saturday, December 10, 8:30-9:15 and 9:30-10:15 AM. Please log into your account and register for either class. Students will play one piece from their recent assignment by memory and one Christmas piece with music. Please check your student’s most recent assignment sheet to see which two pieces will be performed. One parent may attend. Dress is casual. Performances will begin promptly at 8:35 and 9:35 AM. There will also be an audience participation piece!
Adult Musicale. The adult musicale will be Saturday, December 17, 10:00-11:30 AM. Please bring three to four of your favorite pieces. Holiday pieces are encouraged! Pieces do not need to be memorized. Dress is casual. We will have a light brunch.
Christmas Break There will be no lessons December 19-January 2. Lessons will resume Wednesday, January 3, 2016.
Monday Students! There are two Mondays in January that there will be no lessons: January 2, New Year’s Day observed; and January 16, Martin Luther King Day. Lessons will be added on at the end of the Spring semester.
“30 Piece challenge.” The December goal for everyone is to have 20 pieces completed before Christmas break. Please take a look at your sheet and update before your next lesson! Students may have up to 10 pieces from “My Favorite Things” sheet. Christmas and holiday pieces may be an addition 10.

Spring Recital. The Spring Recital date has changed!! It will now be on Saturday, April 29, 2017, 10:00-11:30 AM, at the Rolling Meadows Library. This is one week earlier than previously scheduled.

grade. He enjoys soccer and tennis. He has taken piano since the fall of 2008. Josh is in 8

grade and also enjoys soccer. Josh has taken lessons since the summer of 2013. And their dad, Chris, has taken lessons, too! Best wishes to the Dargis family!

Mrs. Mrozinski has been active with her “Studio Crawl.” Along with fellow teachers Beverly Taylor, Helen Grosshans, and Jennifer Cohen, Mrs. Mrozinski has given two workshops to local music teachers. On October 24, the North Shore Music Teachers Association hosted our presentation, “Do the Studio Crawl.” On November 28, we gave a workshop for the Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association entitled, “Studio Crawl 2.0: Building Studio Relationships.”
The Illinois State Music Teachers Association held its state convention November 4-5 on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. Mrs. Mrozinski was co-presenter with her fellow Crawlers for the AIM session. Presenting a newscast format, the session “The AIM Report,” reported on AIM information from “old hat” to “cutting edge” and provided teachers from around the state with ideas for teaching the AIM program.

Mrs. Mrozinski completed her first marathon October 15! The Baltimore Marathon was a great experience!
And most recently, Mr. Mrozinski and she ran the Arlington Heights Rotary Santa 5K! It was a cold run, but great fun to run with 1,100+ other Santas!
